Indiana 12th at El Diablo
CITRUS SPRINGS, Fla. - In the first two rounds of the El Diablo Intercollegiate, the Indiana University men's golf team struggled to a 12th-place finish at 612 (305-307).
Sophomore Heath Peters led the Hoosiers on Saturday with a 152 (76-76), which places him tied for 36th overall. Senior Aldo Jordan is one stroke back of Peters in a 46th-place tie at 153 (78-75). Sophomore Jeff Overton finished the day at 154 (76-78), while Scott Seibert and Ben Davidson followed with 156 (78-78) and 158 (75-83), respectively.
IU enters tomorrow's final round 34 strokes back of Wichita State (578), which currently leads Colorado State (590) by 12 strokes. West Florida is third at 592, followed by Kent State at 594.
The individual leader is Kenny Cook of Ball State University who is at 6-under-par 138 after shooting rounds of 70 and 68.
The final round of the El Diablo Intercollegiate concludes Sunday with a 7:30 a.m. shotgun start at the 7,045-yard El Diablo Golf & Country Club.
