BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana men's golf senior Brant Peaper was named First Team All-Big Ten on Wednesday (May 1) the conference announced. He is the third Hoosier to be named to the first team in the last two seasons (Chase Wright and David Mills).

Peaper has played in every tournament this season for Indiana and posted a scoring average of 73.15, which would rank 20th on the all-time single-season scoring list at IU. He has carded four top 5 finishes this season and seven top 20 finishes in 11 tournaments.

He opened the season with a T4 finish at the Northern Intercollegiate before bringing home medalist honors the following week at the Wolf Run Intercollegiate, where she shot 65 in the first round to cruise to the title and earn Big Ten Golfer of the Week accolades.

Then in the spring, he surged coming down the stretch with second place finishes at the Mission Inn Spring Spectacular and the NYX Hoosier Invitational and claim his second Big Ten Golfer of the week nod of the season.

Most recently, he fired the best round of the tournament at the Big Ten Championships with a 68 in the second round to move into a tie for the lead at the time.

Indiana has now had 12 First Team All-Big Ten golfers since the 2002 season.

Michael McGee was the team's Sportsmanship Award nominee.
