Indiana enters this weekend's tournament ranked No. 57 in the Golfweek/Sagarin rankings. In the Golfstat rankings, the Hoosiers checked in at No. 67 this week.

IU is one of four Big Ten schools to be selected for NCAA Posteason play, joining Illinois in Fayetteville while Iowa (Tallahassee) and Northwestern (Baton Rouge) are also competing

    HEAD COACH Mike Mayer
Mayer is in his 15th season as the head coach at Indiana. He has helped propel the program into the upper echelon of the Big Ten, annual finishing among leaders in the conference. The Hoosiers have not finished worse than sixth at the Big Ten Championship since 2002 and have three top 3 finishes in that span.

He led IU to their best NCAA finish since 1980 with a 21st place finish in 2008 while also garnering his second Midwest Region Coach of the Year honor (also in 2006). That 2008 season also saw Jorge Campillo finish second at the NCAA Championships with a 1-over par 289.

This marks the 25th appearance in the NCAA postseason for Indiana, with their best finish coming in 1974, a tie for sixth place.

The last time IU took to the course, the Hoosiers finished in a tie for fourth place at the Big Ten Championship at the Pete Dye Course in French Lick, Ind.

David Mills led Indiana with a T8 finish at 7-over par while Brant Peaper was T17 at 12-over par for the tournament. Michael McGee and Corey Ziedonis both finished at T25 at 15-over par and Andrew Fogg rounded out the lineup at 21-over par (T43).

Indiana has claimed three tournament championships this season, it's most in a single season since picking up four victories during the 2010-11 season. The Hoosiers won their first tournament of the season at the Northern Intercollegiate and then posted wins during the spring at the Mission Inn Spring Spectacular and the NYX Hoosier Invitational.

Brant Peaper has posted the only individual win of the year for the Hoosiers, claiming medalist honors at the Wolf Run Intercollegiate at Wolf Run Golf Club in Zionsville, Ind. He carded rounds of 65-70-67 to finish 11-under par for the tournament.

Indian head coach Mike Mayer is in his 15th season at Indiana, and with the Hoosiers victory at the NYX Hoosier Invitational on April 21 of this year, it marked the 26th tournament victory in Mayer's career. Indiana has won at least two tournaments in each of the last eight seasons and nine of the last 10 years.
