Overton Finishes in Top-15 at British Open

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Former Indiana University golfer Jeff Overton was one of five players to shoot a final round-best score of 67 on Sunday at the British Open, earning himself a share of 13th place at the PGA Major tournament.
Overton carded rounds of 70, 69, 76 and 67 for a weekend total of 282 (+2). He started the final day in a tie for 43rd before his 3-under 67 catapulted him up into the top-15. The Evansville, Ind., native sank four birdie putts compared to just one bogey on Sunday, receiving $82,866 for his performance.
