Three Hoosiers In Top 10 at Northern Am

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Nicholas Grubnich's second place finish led three Hoosiers in the top 10 of the Northern Amateur at Sand Creek Country Club in Chesterton, Ind. Joining Grubnich in the top 10 were rising junior Max Kollin and incoming freshman Christian Fairbanks in a tie for 10th place.
Rising senior Andrew Fogg also placed inside the top 25 of the field, checking in at T21.
Grubnich held the lead by three strokes after the first day after carding a 5-under par 67. He followed that up with even par rounds of 72 on Thursday and Friday for a final score of 211 (-5), trailing the champion Adam Wood by two shots.
Kollin opened with a 2-under par round of 70 on Wednesday and followed that with rounds of 76 and 73 for a final score of 219 (+3) for the tournament.
Fairbanks carded a 73 to open his tournament before cruising to a 3-under par 69 in round two. His final round 77 left him with a total score 219 (+3).
