2010-11 Men's Golf Season Starts in Zionsville on Saturday

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Indiana University men's golf team begins the 2010-11 season by hosting the Wolf Run Intercollegiate at the Wolf Run Golf Club in Zionsville, Ind., on Sept. 11-12. The event consists of 36 holes on Saturday followed by the third and final round on Sunday.
"The competition level at Wolf Run this year is going be very high," said Head Coach Mike Mayer. "This is the best field we've had at this event since we began hosting it."
The 15-team playing field includes: Ball State, Central Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa State, IUPUI, Kansas State, Kentucky, Louisville, Michigan, Missouri, North Florida, Northwestern, Penn State and Tulsa. Five of the teams finished in the top-50 of Golfstat's final 2009-10 national rankings, including Illinois cracking the top-25 at No. 21.
The Wolf Run Golf Club plays as a 6,805-yard par-71. It currently ranks as the 20th best course in the country in Golfweek's America's 100 Best Modern Courses.
Saturday's play starts at 8:30 a.m. with a shotgun start and 36 holes of continuous play. Tee times for the final round on Sunday run from 8:30-10:30 a.m. with teams starting on the 1st and 10th tees.
