    Hoosiers Slip to Eighth Heading into Final Round at Olympia Fields

    CHICAGO, Ill. - The Indiana Hoosiers men's golf team slipped two spots to eighth place going into Sunday's final round of the Olympia Fields/Fighting Illini Invitational at Olympia Fields Country Club. The Hoosiers posted a second round total of 19-over 299, moving the squad to 27-over (587) for the tournament.

    Stanford, leading the event by 11 strokes, is the only team under par (-1) at the difficult North Course. The Cardinal are joined in the top-three by Oklahoma State (+10) and Auburn (+18).

    Senior Chase Wright had the low round of the day for the Hoosiers, posting a 3-over 73, bringing him to 4-over total. The Muncie, Ind. native had a pair of birdies throughout his round and is tied for 15th.

    Sophomore David Mills and junior Corey Ziedonis each fired 5-over 75s in round two. Ziedonis, 6-over for the tournament, is tied for 19th. Mills, who also posted a 75 in round one, is tied for 51st.

    Senior David Erdy got off to a birdie on the opening par-5 first hole, but struggled the rest of the way, finishing with a 7-over 77. Erdy is tied for 38th at 8-over total.

    Junior Brant Peaper was the lone Hoosier to improve on his first round score, recording a 6-over 76 to bring his total to 14-over. The Tequesta, Fla. native is tied for 65th.

    Indiana will be paired with Augusta State and Illinois for Sunday's final round, beginning with Peaper at 8:00 a.m.
