IU Men's Golf Travels to Windon Memorial Classic

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -
The Indiana University men's golf team will travel to Glenview, Ill. on September 26-27 to compete in the 2010 Windon Memorial Classic. The 17-team field will include seven squads from the Big Ten.
The event, hosted by Northwestern University, is held at the North Shore Country Club (par 71, 7,067 yards). North Shore CC has previously hosted U.S. Amateur and U.S. Open Championships, as well as the Windon Memorial Classic in 1998, 2003 and 2008.
The tournament will feature 36 holes on Sunday, Sept. 26, beginning at 8:30 a.m. CT with a shotgun start, as well as 18 holes on Monday, Sept. 27 with tee times that are to be determined. Live scoring for the event will be provided at www.golfstat.com.
The field for the event includes: California, Coastal Carolina, Florida Atlantic, Indiana, Kent State, Long Beach State, Marquette, Michigan, Minnesota, Northwestern, Ohio State, Penn State, Princeton, Purdue, Tennessee, Tulsa, and UC Davis.
Indiana is coming off a 13th place finish at the Olympia Fields Invitational. Freshman David Mills led the squad in that event with a 219 (75-73-71) to earn a share of 36th place individually.
