Hoosiers Tee Off Sunday at PING/Golfweek Invitational

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Indiana University men's golf team is headed to the Pacific Northwest for their third tournament of the 2009-10 season, competing in the PING/Golfweek Invitational hosted by Washington University.
A total of 15 teams will participate in the three-round event at the 7,152-yard, par-72 Olympic Course at Gold Mountain in Bremerton, Wash. Five squads ranked in Golfweek's preseason top-10 are present, including No. 2 Oklahoma State, No. 3 Washington, No. 4 Texas A&M, No. 5 Arizona State and No. 9 Alabama. Additional ranked teams in the field are No. 12 LSU, No. 14 Texas Christian, No. 16 USC, No. 23 Colorado State, No. 26 North Carolina State and No. 29 UNLV. Chattanooga, Indiana, Kent State and New Mexico round out the playing field.
Some of the country's elite individual golfers will also be in attendance at Gold Mountain with six of the top-10 ranked players scheduled to take their shot on the course.
INDIANA'S EXPECTED LINEUP
Competition will begin with 36 holes on Sunday (Sept. 27); and conclude with the final round to be played on Monday. Live scoring of the event will be available at www.golfstat.com.
