Hoosiers in Sixth Heading Into Final Round at Windon Memorial

The Indiana University men's golf team finished the first two rounds of the Windon Memorial Classic with a 21-over par 589 (295-294), good for sixth among the 17-team field at North Shore Country Club. Junior David Erdy led the way for the Hoosiers with a one-over par 143 (69-74), good for a tie for fifth individually.
Michigan is leading the tournament with a four-over par 572 (285-287). The Wolverines' Lion Kim is in first place among individuals after recording a two-under par 140 (69-71).
Erdy shared the individual lead following his opening round 69, which tied for the third lowest score of the day. He finished the day with nine birdies, tying for the most among the field.
Freshman David Mills and sophomore Brant Peaper each turned in an eight-over par 150 for Indiana. Peaper opened the tournament with an even-par 71 and followed up with a 79 in the second round. Mills notched a 78 in the first round and came back strong with a 72 to finish the day, along with Peaper, in a tie for 46th on the individual leaderboard.
Junior Chase Wright carded a 77 and a 74 for the Hoosiers, which lands him in a tie for 52nd at 151. Sophomore Corey Ziedonis contributed to the team score in the second round with a 74, after opening with a 79. His 11-over par 153 leaves him in a tie for 62nd overall.
The Hoosiers will get things started in the final round on Monday morning with Ziedonis teeing off at 8:45 a.m. CT, followed by Wright (8:54), Peaper (9:03), Mills (9:12), and Erdy (9:21). There will continue to be live scoring at www.golfstat.com.
