West Lafayette, IN - The men's golf team headed to West Lafayette this Friday and Saturday to compete in Northern Intercollegiate. After the first day of competition the Hoosiers are in eleventh place in the thirteen team field. Due to darkness the second round, to be played on Friday, was not completed. Teams will finish round two starting at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday and continue with the third and final round to finish the tournament. Ohio State sits atop the leader board with a first round score of 296.
The Hoosiers struggled on Friday posting a first day total of 308, twelve shots out of the lead. Senior Corey Sullivan had the best showing of the day shooting a 74(36-38), placing him in a tie for ninth heading into Saturday. Senior John Barry sits in the top-twenty five after firing a 76(39-37) in his first round of the season. Indiana will look to bounce back from day one's performance as the tournament concludes on Saturday.
