October 2, 1999 INDIANA FINISHES NORTHERN IN 12TH
West Lafayette, IN - The Indiana University men's golf team finished the Northern Intercollegiate golf tournament on Saturday twelfth in the thirteen team field. Conditions were winding and raining at Purdue's Kampen Course on Saturday as Toledo took team honors with a tournament total of 890 (298-294-298) and Matt Abbot of Penn State took medalist honors (76-69-70).
The Hoosiers continued their struggles from Friday on Saturday as the team fired a three round total of 923 (308-314-301). Freshman Aldo Jordan-King (78-78-72) and Senior Corey Sullivan (74-79-75) were the top finishers for IU with a tie for twenty-fifth.
Indiana will try and rebound on Monday (Oct. 4) and Tuesday (Oct. 5) as the team travels to Franklin, IN to compete in the Legends Intercollegiate.
