The Hoosiers: Indiana is coming off of its second third place finish of the season as they just finished competing in the Legends Intercollegiate this past Tuesday. The team shot a season best 283 in the final round of the Legends to add to their 302 first round score and 297 second round score for a 882 total.

Coach Mike Mayer received strong efforts from the whole team at the Legends. Freshman Drew Meyer placed ninth in his first collegiate tournament, scoring a tournament total of 218 (72-75-71). Junior Steve Wheatcroft carded a three round score of 220(80-71-69) for a share of 17th place and freshman Brett Hardin compiled a score of 221 (72-75-74), good enough for a 19th place tie in his first tournament as a collegiate golfer. Senior Corey Sullivan finished the legends particularly well as he shot a third round of 69. Sullivan shot a 223 (78-76-69) total for a tie for 29th.

Coach Mayer was very pleased with the team's effort in the final round of the Legends and this week he feels the team can build on that. "We pretty much had a flawless final round at the Legends. Hopefully that will get us going and carry over to the Xavier Invitational."
