Hoosiers in 10th Place After First Round at Isleworth

WINDERMERE, Fla. - The Indiana Hoosiers men's golf team (No. 33 Golfstat, No. 33 Golfweek/Sagarin) is in 10th place after one round of play at the Isleworth Collegiate Invitational, posting an 8-over 296 on Sunday.
No. 1 Texas holds a commanding lead in the event at 10-under, with No. 11 North Florida in second place at 1-under. The Hoosiers are five strokes back of third and one stroke behind a group of four squads tied for sixth in the difficult 15-team field.
Sophomore David Mills led the way for the Hoosiers, firing an even-par 72 to tie for 11th. The Evansville, Ind. native played a bogey-free back nine that included a pair of birdies on both par-5s.
Senior Chase Wright and junior Corey Ziedonis are tied for 17th after each registered 1-over 73s. Wright was 5-over through six holes, but rebounded with birdies on three of his next four holes and finished with four birdies on the day.
The Hoosiers, paired with Texas Tech and TCU, will begin round two on Monday with tee times beginning at 8:25 a.m.
