    INDIANA HEADED TO SUNNY HAWAII

    Tournament Data: The men's golf team will travel to Oahu, Hawaii this weekend to compete in the Stan Sheriff Invitational to be held on November 22 and 23. Hawaii will host the tournament at the par 72, 7,310 yard Ko'olau Golf Club located in Kaneohe, Oahu. Start times for the Stan Sheriff are TBA.

    The Teams: (11) International Pacific College, Minnesota, Michigan, Osaka Gakuin University, Hawaii-Hilo, Indiana, Long Beach State, Hawaii, San Fransisco, Washington State, West Florida

    The Hoosiers: IU will travel to Hawaii with considerable rest having played their last tournament in early October. The team had two third place finishes in the fall, the Hawkeye Invitational and the Legends Intercollegiate, as well as a tie for ninth at the Xavier Invitational and a twelfth place finish at the Northern Invitational.

    Line-up: Coach Mike Mayer will take seniors John Barry (77.6 avg.) and Corey Sullivan (74.6 avg.), junior Steve Wheatcroft (74.4 avg.), redshirt freshman Mike Miller (78.6 avg.), and true freshman Aldo Jordan-King (74.8 avg.) to Hawaii.

    Quoting Coach Mayer: "We're really looking forward to making the Hawaii trip. The team has worked hard all fall for this tournament and we expect to be competitive," Mayer commented. "These are two prestigious tournaments (the Stan Sheriff and the Mauna Kea Resort Inv. to be played Nov. 25 and 26) that we have been trying to get into. Now that we have, it is a real tribute to our program."

    "John Barry and Corey Sullivan have worked for this tournament all of their careers and are very deserving of the opportunity," Mayer added.
