    Eight Hoosiers in Action During Winter Break

    BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Eight members of the Indiana Men's Golf team will compete in the state of Florida at a pair of events, the 80th Annual Dixie Invitational and the New Year's Invitational, during winter break.

    A trio of sophomores, John Beringer, Brant Peaper, and Corey Ziedonis, as well as senior Ren Han will take part in the Dixie Invitational held in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. on December 18-21. The event is being played at Inverrary Golf Club and Heron Bay Golf Club. The tournament is four rounds and will be cut to the low 60 and ties following the second round.

    Beringer, Peaper, and Han will also be competing in the New Year's Invitational. They will be joined in the field by junior David Erdy, sophomores Michael McGee and Kyle Perry, as well as freshman David Mills. The four round, 72-hole event is held at St. Petersburg Country Club on January 6-9. Notable past champions of the event include former Hoosier Jeff Overton, Len Mattiace, Brandt Snedeker, and Ryuji Imada.


    Senior Paul Park will be graduating early and receiving his degree from the Kelley School of Business. Park, a Wayne, N.J. native, earned Academic All-Big Ten honors following his junior season.
