Freshman Year (2003)
Emerged as a starter at marking back after preseason training ... started all 25 matches ... a member of the Big Ten All-Freshmen Team ... selected a second team Freshman All-American by College Soccer News ... helped shut down the nation's 11th-highest scoring team, Virginia Commonwealth, in the NCAA third round on Nov. 30 ... helped hold UCLA, the No. 4 scoring team in the country, to just one goal on Dec. 6 in the NCAA quarterfinals ... scored two goals, both of which came in conference play ... first career goal came at Wisconsin on Oct. 10 ... also scored against Ohio State on Oct. 19 ... helped the IU defense deliver 11 shutouts, including eight in the last 12 matches of the season ... named the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week on Oct. 20 ... part of the IU backfield that led the conference in nearly every defensive category ... the Hoosier defense also ranked fifth nationally in goals against average (0.64).
