BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Head coach Todd Yeagley announced the Indiana men's soccer 2014 spring schedule today, highlighted by the annual matchup with the Mexican Youth National Team on April 27.

After a couple of 9v9 scrimmages in March, the schedule gets underway in earnest with a matchup against the Indy Eleven on April 4 at 7:30 p.m. ET in Indianapolis. The competition against the first-year North American Soccer League (NASL) club will take place at Carroll Stadium on the IUPUI campus and the 2014 home of the Indy Eleven. The match will be open to Indy Eleven season ticket holders only.

On April 12 the Hoosiers and Notre Dame renew their rivalry in their annual spring meeting in Fort Wayne, Ind. Part of the National Soccer Festival, the 2 p.m. meeting pits the 2012 NCAA Champion Hoosiers against the 2013 NCAA Champion Fighting Irish. Notre Dame was a 2-0 winner over IU in the 2013 regular season meeting in South Bend.

The only spring match at Armstrong Stadium takes place April 16 at 7:30 p.m. as the Butler Bulldogs make the short trip down State Road 37. The Bulldogs posted a come-from-behind 3-2 double overtime win over Indiana last season.

The schedule wraps up with the Mexican Youth National Team on April 27. This year the match will take place at Carroll Stadium on the IUPUI campus in Indianapolis. Game time is TBA.

This is the eighth meeting between the squads with Indiana holding a 2-5 record against its Mexican counterparts. Last year's meeting resulted in a 1-0 victory for Mexico.

"Our goal in the spring is to schedule tough competition to help us build depth and chemistry heading into next fall," Yeagley said. "This schedule will be a great test for our team as we look to fill important pieces from last year's squad. We lose six starters and nearly 70% of our scoring from last fall. However, we have some outstanding young talent developing within our team and an excellent recruiting class to help us continue to fight for championships.

"Our spring schedule has us playing against our new professional team up in Indianapolis (Indy Eleven), instate rival Butler and defending national champions Notre Dame up in Ft. Wayne as part of the National Soccer Festival. We wrap up our spring schedule against the Mexican U-20 National Team in one of the most exciting matches of the year for our players and fans. These matches will have wonderful crowds and atmospheres that create fall like environments. This schedule will provide the necessary challenges to help us prepare for quite possibly the toughest schedule in all of college soccer next fall."
