    Kotlov, Webb Earn B1G Player of the Week Honors

    BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana University senior midfielder Nikita Kotlov is the Big Ten Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, while freshman Colin Webb is the Defensive Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday.

    Kotlov tallied a goal and an assist in Indiana's 3-0 win at Northwestern on Nov. 8, giving IU the No. 5 seed in this week's Big Ten Tournament. Kotlov's shot off the underside of the cross bar gave IU a 2-0 lead in the 67th minute of play. It was Kotlov's fifth goal of the season, tied for tops on the team, and his second goal in as many matches.

    Webb earned his second start of the season in the match at Northwestern and finished with a career-best six saves en route to his first career shutout and first Big Ten victory. Webb has seen 192:39 minutes of action this year with 11 saves and a 1-1 record.

    It is the first career Big Ten Player of the Week honors for both Kotlov and Webb.

    The Hoosiers start postseason play on Wednesday, Nov. 13 as they face the No. 4 seed Michigan Wolverines in the quarterfinal round of the Big Ten Tournament at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium in Columbus, Ohio. Match time is 4:30 p.m. ET and the game will be streamed live on the Big Ten Digital Network.
