    JUNIOR YEAR (2009-10)

    Placed 15th in the 200 breaststroke at the Big Ten Championships ... went a career best 2:00.84 in the prelims ... took 11th in the 400 IM at the meet with a time of 3:50.74 ... went a career best 3:50.34 in a last chance meet at Ohio State ... second in the 400 IM at Louisville (4:00.54), at Hoosierland Open (4:04.18), at Northwestern (4:09.00) and third at Texas (3:59.97) ... victorious in the 400 IM at Kentucky (4:04.42) ... third in the 200 breaststroke in a dual meet with Purdue (2:05.50) ... second in the 200 breast at Kentucky (2:06.95) and at Northwestern (2:07.58) ... fourth at Texas (2:07.38) and at Louisville (2:07.88).

    SOPHOMORE YEAR (2008-09)

    Took eighth in the 400 individual medley (3:53.74) at the Big Ten Championships ... also placed 24th in the 200 breaststroke (2:04.89) ... ninth in the 1,650 freestyle with a career time of 15:14.14 ... third in the 1,650 free (15:36.05) at the Hoosierland Open ... 10th in the 200 breaststroke in a dual meet with Tennessee and Michigan ... also took 12th in the 200 IM (1:53.84-career best) ... ninth in the 400 IM against Ohio State and Missouri.

    FRESHMAN YEAR (2007-08)

    Recorded a season-best time of 15:52.72 in the 1,650-yard freestyle in a dual meet win over Purdue ... also had a season best of 3:59.48 to finish in the 400-yard individual medley against the Boilermakers ... took fifth in the 1,000-yard free with a time of 9:39.42 at Kentucky ... clocked in at 1:56.78 for a 16th-place showing in the 200 IM and ninth in the 400 IM at the Hoosierland Open ... swam a season-best time of 1:01.75 in the 100-yard breaststroke against No. 1 Texas and No. 5 Michigan ... his season-best of 2:10.46 in the 200-yard breaststroke came at the Hoosierland Open and was good for a 14th-place finish.

    PREP/PERSONAL

    Earned a total of nine All-America certificates at Yorktown ... finished fifth in the 200 individual medley and 500 free, as well as seventh in the medley relay at the state meet ... won the 400 IM at senior state meet ... member of National Honor Society ... son of Darrell Butler and Leah Ruth-Butler ... father earned a Ph.D at Indiana ... born May 4, 1989.
