    Junior Year (2005-06)
    Provisionally qualified for the NCAAs in the 100 free, 200 free, 200 free relay, 400 free relay, 800 free relay and 400 medley relay, but did not make the cut ... claimed 10 event titles ... placed in the top three 21 times ... scored at Big Tens in the 100 free (sixth), 200 free (11th) and the 200 free (fourth), 400 free (fourth), 800 free (fourth) relays ... finished season among IU's all-time top 20 in the 100 free (sixth) and 200 free (11th) ... also found six times in IU's meter record books ... earned Academic All-Big Ten recognition.

    Sophomore Year (2004-05)
    Won seven event titles ... set or reset four of his five personal bests ... earned second team All-Big Ten with a second-place effort as the anchor of the 400-yard medley relay at the conference meet ... garnered a trio of All-American certificates as a member of the 10th-place 800 free, 12th-place 200 free and 13th-place 400 free relays ... member of school-record relays in the 400-yard free and 800-yard free.

    Freshman Year (2003-04)
    Missed part of the year with a broken arm, but came back to swim at the Big Tens ... placed 21st in the 200-yard freestyle, 45th in the 50-yard freestyle and 43rd in the 100-yard freestyle at the Big Tens.

    Competed for the Nashville Aquatic Club (NAC), where he ranks among the top 10 in club history for Senior Boys in the 50-, 100-, and 200-yard freestyle, 100- and 200-yard backstroke, and 200-yard individual medley ... club coach was John Morse ... a member of the National Honor Society ... son of Tom and Barbara Houchin.
