JUNIOR YEAR (2012-13)Placed third in the 200 IM at the NCAA Championships with the second-fastest time in school history (1:41.99), earning All-America honors ... took ninth in the 400 medley relay with a school-record time of 3:08.40 ... also 14th in the 200 medley relay (1:26.13) ... placed fourth in the 200 breaststroke (1:53.29-second-fastest time in school history) ... took home a total of four All-America certificates ... suffered a setback when he was disqualified in the 100 breaststroke final for an illegal kick ... won his third-straight Big Ten titles in the 100 breaststroke and 200 breaststroke ... third swimmer in B1G history to win three-straight 100 breaststroke titles ... 10th person in Big Ten history to win three-straight 200 breaststroke titles ... set new Big Ten records in the 100 breast (51.50) and 200 breast (1:51.03) ... his time in the 200 breast makes him the second-fastest individual in collegiate history ... also won the 200 IM with a Big Ten meet record and school record time of 1:41.85 ... third in the 200 medley relay with a new school record time of 1:25.15 ... named first-team All-Big Ten and Big Ten Swimmer of the Championships ... now owns the three fastest times in school history in the 100 breaststroke and four of the five fastest times in the 200 breaststroke ... 11th in the 100 breast at the 2013 USA Swimming Winter Short Course Nationals ... also took fifth in the 200 breast ... won the 100 breast in dual meets vs. Ohio State, Iowa, Louisville, Penn State, Virginia, Purdue, Kentucky and Tennessee ... also won the 200 breaststroke against those same opponents ... 10th in the 200 IM at short course nationals ... also a winner in the event in dual meets with Ohio State, Iowa, Texas and Michigan ... SOPHOMORE YEAR (2011-12)Advanced to the championship final of the 200-meter individual medley at the 2012 U.S. Olympic Trials ... finished with a time of 2:00.90, which is the second-fastest time in school history ... his semifinal time of 2:01.63 is the fifth-fastest time in school history ... made the semifinal of the 200-meter breaststroke where he finished 14th with a time of 2:13.43 ... went 2:13.61 in prelims ... 44th in the 100-meter breaststroke (1:03.36) ... set a new school record in the 200 individual medley at the NCAA Championships, earning All-America honors with a 10th-place finish in 1:44.02 ... made the championship final of the 100 breaststroke, finishing seventh in 52.82 ... that is the fifth-fastest time in school history ... his prelim mark of 52.78 is the fourth-fastest time in school history ... All-American in the 200 breaststroke, finishing ninth in 1:54.45 ... that is the fourth-fastest time in school history ... earned All-America honors in the 400 medley relay, finishing 13th in a time of 3:11.07 ... All-American in the 200 medley relay, finishing 13th in 1:27.54 ... won his second-straight Big Ten title in the 100 breaststroke with a school-record time of 52.34 ... followed that up with his second conference title in the 200 breaststroke ... his time of 1:54.07 is a career best and the second-fastest time in school history ... finished fourth in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:25.79 ... that is the third-fastest time in school history ... fourth in the 200 individual medley with a time of 1:44.81 ... fifth in the 400 freestyle relay, putting up the third-fastest time in school history at 2:55.60 ... sixth in the 200 free relay (1:19.31) ... first-team All-Big Ten honoree.
FRESHMAN YEAR (2010-11)
Won a pair of Big Ten titles in the 100 breaststroke and 200 breaststroke ... his time of 1:54.16 in the 200 breast is the third-fastest in school history ... went 1:55.87 in the prelims ... posted a season-best time of 52.90 in the 100 breast ... also took sixth in the 200 medley relay, 10th in the 200 IM (1:46.29) and third in the 400 medley relay ... first-team All-Big Ten ... earned a pair of All-America honors at the NCAA Championships ... placed 16th in the 200 medley relay and 10th in the 200 breaststroke (1:55.01) ... also took 28th in the 100 breaststroke (54.17).
