JUNIOR YEAR (2011-12)Named to the Dominican Republic 2012 Olympic Team in the 200-meter freestyle ... earned his Olympic qualifying time of 1:53.80 in the 200-meter freestyle at the Indianapolis Grand Prix in March ... finished 18th in the 200 IM at the Big Ten Championships with a career time of 1:49.03 ... also took 18th in the 200 breaststroke, going a career best 1:59.70 ... 21st in the 400 individual medley with a career-best time of 3:52.06 ... took fifth in the 200 individual medley (1:54.59) and fourth in the 200 breaststroke (2:04.93) in a dual meet win over Purdue ... 15th in the 400 individual medley (3:58.14) and 11th in the 200 breaststroke (2:02.62) at the Georgia Invitational ... sixth in the 400 IM vs. Louisville (4:06.35) and 10th in a double dual with Penn State and Virginia (4:05.12) ... fourth in the same event in a dual meet at Michigan (4:11.13).

Competed at the Dominican Republic national championships in Santo Domingo, where he broke a national record in the 400-meter freestyle ... went on to win his first major gold medal at the Central American and Caribbean Swimming Championships in Puerto Rico ... won the 200-meter individual medley in a meet record and career-best time of 2:08.90 ... bettered his previous best by 2.67 seconds ... also took a silver medal in the 400-meter freestyle in 4:04, his fastest time of the summer, and bronze medal in the 200-meter freestyle in 1:56.20 ... competing at the 2011 FINA World Championships in Shanghai, China he won his heat and placed 47th overall in the 200-meter freestyle ... placed second in the 100 free at the Hoosierland Open (47.04) ... also took eighth in the 100 free in the season opener vs. Northwestern (48.15) ... ninth in the 200 free in a dual meet win over Michigan (1:44.46) ... fourth in the 500 free at the Hoosierland Open (4:46.09) ... fifth-place finisher in the 100 breaststroke in a win over Purdue, posting a season-best time of 58.96 ... second in the 100 breast at the Hoosierland Open (59.23) ... also took sixth in the 200 breast vs. Purdue (2:08.24) and won the 200 breaststroke at the Hoosierland Open (2:10.98).
PRIOR TO INDIANA
Spent two seasons at Florida Atlantic University ... redshirted as a sophomore and has three years of eligibility remaining ... swam the 100 free, 200 free, 500 free and 100 breaststroke.
