JUNIOR YEAR (2007-08)
Swam the 500-yard freestyle (46th) at the Big Ten Championships ... competed in the 1,500 free at the 2008 U.S. Olympic Trials ... seventh in the 1,650-yard freestyle and eighth in the 500 freestyle at Michigan ... third in the 1,000 free in a dual meet victory at Kentucky ... posted top-20 finishes in the 500 free (19th) and 1,650 free (ninth) at the Hoosierland Open ... 11th in the 1,000-yard freestyle and 10th in the 500-yard freestyle against No. 1 Texas and No. 5 Michigan ... season-best second-place finishes in the 1,000 free at Northwestern and Missouri ... fourth in the 500 free against the Tigers ... fourth in the 800-meter free at USA Swimming Sectionals.
SOPHOMORE YEAR (2006-07)
Reached the bonus finals of two events at the Big Ten Championship ... took 21st in the 500-yard freestyle in career-best time ... also reached the bonus final of the 400-yard individual medley, but was disqualified ... turned in a career-best time in the preliminaries of the event ... finished 28th in the timed final of the 1,650-yard freestyle ... picked up one event win on the season, taking the 1,650 free against Missouri ... had nine additional top-five finishes ... took second in the mile against No. 3 Texas and No. 4 Cal ... took second in the 1,000-yard freestyle in meets against No. 18 Purdue and No. 18 Kentucky; took third in the 1,000 free against No. 8 Northwestern ... turned in Indiana's third-best times on the season in the 1,000 free and the fourth-fastest marks in the 500 free and 1,650 free ... earned an NCAA provisional cut in the 1,650 free ... is in Indiana's all-time top 20 in the event.
FRESHMAN YEAR (2005-06)
Provisionally qualified for NCAAs in the 1,650-yard freestyle, but did not make the cut ... scored points at the Big Ten Championships in the 1,650 free with a 14th-place finish ... placed as high as second at the Boiler Make-it Invitational.
A senior national and junior national qualifier in the distance freestyle events ... competed at the 2005 World Championship Trials in Indianapolis as well as the U.S. Open in San Antonio, Texas, in 2004 ... garnered Scholastic All-America honors and was a member of the jazz band, marching band and symphonic wind ensemble ... claimed four all-district laurels for his work with the band and was a state composition contest winner as well as a district Math Counts champion ... earned Southeast Missouri wind ensemble distinction ... son of Matthew and Sherrie Troxel ... born Sept. 29, 1986.
