Sophomore Year (2006-07)
Turned in second-place finishes in the 100-yard butterfly, 200-yard butterfly and the 400-yard medley relay at the Big Ten Championships to earn All-Big Ten second team distinction ... set school records in the 100 fly and 200 fly at the Big Ten meet ... held the top Indiana times on the season in the 100 fly, 200 fly, 200-yard freestyle relay and 400-yard medley relay ... also in the top five on the season in the 100 back, 400-yard freestyle relay, 800-yard freestyle relay and 200-yard medley relay ... picked up eight event wins on the season ... won a pair of events in wins over No. 19 Arizona State and No. 14 Ohio State ... swept both butterfly events and set a pool record in the 200 fly in the win over the Buckeyes.

Earned a pair of All-America certificates at NCAAs ... member of IU's ninth-place 400 medley relay that posted best finish for the Hoosiers in the event at NCAAs since 1980 ... concluded an amazing first year of collegiate competition with his second All-America honor after turning in a ninth-place effort in the 200 fly at NCAAs ... posted the top finish in the 200 fly at NCAAs since Bob Alsfelder claimed ninth in the event in 1975 ... became the first IU swimmer to earn Freshman of the Year honors in IU school history ... joined former diver Tom Davidson, who earned the honor in 1997 ... member of school-record 400 medley relay that placed second at Big Tens ... set both the 100 fly and 200 fly program standards at Big Tens ... his prelim time of 47.52 in the 100 fly surpassed teammate Scott Tanner's 2005 record ... third-place time of 1:44.39 in the 200 fly eclipsed former IU standout Murph Halasz's record set in 2004 ... won eight event titles ... finished in the top three 24 times ... finished season among IU's all-time top 20 in the 100 back (third), 100 fly (first), 200 fly (first), 50 LCM free (eighth), 100 LCM free (sixth), 100 LCM back (fourth), 100 LCM fly (second), 200 LCM fly (fourth) and 200 LCM IM (ninth).
Redshirt Year (2004-05)
In 2004, was named a NISCA All-American in eight different events (50-yard freestyle, 100-yard freestyle, 200-yard freestyle, 100-yard backstroke, 100-yard butterfly, 200-yard IM, 200-yard medley relay and 400-yard freestyle relay) ... at the 2004 U.S. Olympic Trials, placed 11th in the 100-meter butterfly ... named a NISCA All-American in the 100 butterfly and 200 IM in both 2002 and 2003 as well ... won both the 200 IM and the 100 butterfly at the Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA) state meet in 2003 and 2004 ... regarded as one of the country's top high school butterfliers ... also swam the anchor leg on the 400-yard medley relay that placed fourth at the meet ... was the 2002 MHSAA state champion in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 49.50 ... also placed third in the 200-yard individual medley at the 2002 meet with a time of 1:53.39 ... as a freshman, placed ninth in the 200-yard IM and eighth in the 100-yard backstroke at the MHSAA state meet ... in 2001 was a third team all-regional selection in water polo ... swam club for the Portage Aquatic Club, coached by Jeff Russell ... son of Steve and Rose Walkotten ... born February 14, 1986.
