ANN ARBOR, Mich. - Indiana advanced three divers to the finals of the three-meter at the Zone C Championships on the campus of the University of Michigan on Saturday, March 3.

Junior Taylor Roberts was the Hoosiers' top finisher, as he finished sixth with a score of 647.60. Classmate David Legler was 14th in the finals with a score of 574.55. Freshman David Piercy earned a spot in the finals with an 11th-place showing in the morning preliminaries, and finished with 564.25 points for 16th place.

Sophomore Will Bohonyi was 25th in the preliminaries with a score of 254.10.

"I thought Taylor did a great job, coming in here with a dislocated and broken finger," Indiana diving coach Dr. Jeff Huber said. "He did a great job. Under the old qualifying system, he would have qualified, so he just missed out. I think we've got a good shot of getting someone in on tower. David Legler and Will Bohonyi have a good shot tomorrow, and I thought David Piercy did a much better job today on three-meter. That would have scored at Big Tens, so that was nice to see improvement from him."

All four Hoosiers divers will have one more chance to qualify for the NCAA Championships, which will be held March 15-17 in Minneapolis, as the Zone Championships conclude on Sunday, March 4, with the platform.
