COLUMBUS, Ohio - - The Indiana men's diving team bounced back from a slow start at the NCAA Zone C Diving Championships as senior Taylor Roberts and freshman Landon Marzullo both earned a spot at the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships by going 1-2 on the 1-meter Saturday afternoon at the McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion in Columbus, Ohio.

Roberts finished first with a score of 697.80 over the two rounds, followed by Marzullo with 688.45. By earning a spot with today's performance, both divers will be able to compete in all three events (1-meter, 3-meter, platform) at the NCAA Championships which run March 27-29 in Federal Way, Wash.

"We really got that monkey off our back today," said head coach Dr. Jeff Huber. "We had two guys qualify that need to me at the NCAA Championships because they are that good."

Freshman Kris Hill and senior David Legler also competed in the finals with Hill 14th (565.40) and Legler 15th (555.40). Will Bohonyi finished 28th in the prelims with a score of 239.90

The IU divers will one more chance to qualify tomorrow, this time in the platform competition.
