    BOYDS, Md. - Indiana graduate Jesse Rappaport finished eighth in the one-meter at the Speedo USA Diving Spring Nationals at the Germantown Indoor Pool on Wednesday, April 18.

    Rappaport put together a six-dive total of 345.90 points for his placement. Four of Rappaport's dives were in the top six for their respective rounds, with his forward three-and-a-half somersault tuck notching 63.00 points for second in the second round. The Glassboro, N.J., native scored 71.30 points for his inward two-and-a-half somersault tuck, taking third in the final round.

    Rappaport earned his spot in the finals with an eighth-place showing in the semifinals with a score of 319.40. Rappaport had two dives that led their rounds, with his forward three-and-a-half somersault tuck garnering 63.00 points and his inward two-and-a-half somersault tuck earning 71.30.

    The Spring Nationals continue on Thursday, April 19, with the men's three-meter semis and three-meter synchro semis and finals.
