    Koehler Finishes 15th at USA Open Water World Championship Trials

    FT. MYERS, Fla. - Indiana University senior John Kevin Koehler finished 15th at the USA Swimming Open Water World Championship Trials, held Sunday afternoon in Ft. Myers, Fla.

    Koehler finished the 10-kilometer course in a time of 2:00:13.37, just over two minutes behind first-place finisher Mark Warkentin. Warkentin and runner-up Chip Peterson secured spots at the 2008 FINA Open Water World Championships. The top-10 finishers at the World Championships, held April 29-May 4, 2008 in Seville, Spain, will automatically qualify for the 2008 Olympic Games.

    Koehler and the Hoosiers are back in action on Friday as they travel to Evanston, Ill. to take on Northwestern in a dual meet. The meet gets underway at 4 p.m. CT.
