    COLLIER PLACES FOURTH AT ALL-AMERICAN INVITE

    The Indiana Diving team finished the first day of the All-American Diving Invitational with Mike Collier finishing fourth on the one-meter. Today's events were the one-meter for the collegiate men and the three-meter for the collegiate women.

    In the collegiate men's one-meter, Rio Ramirez of the University of Miami won with 592.10 points in the finals. Collier scored 530.35, only seven points shy of the top three. Other divers competing for Indiana were Tom Davidson, in 10th place, Ryan Kosanic finishing 13th, Jon Repetti placing 19th, and Jason Graves finishing 25th.

    On the women's three-meter, Doris Glenn Easterly, also from the University of Miami, finished first with 520.30 points. For Indiana, Erin Quinn placed 13th, Debbie Lipski finished 15th, and Kimiko Hirai came in 26th place.

    The meet continues through Sunday with tomorrow being the last day of the collegiate competition. The last three days are open competitions with some of the best divers from the United States and Mexico competing. The men will be competing on the three-meter and the women will be competing on the one-meter tomorrow.
