Indiana University senior Ben Hesen is mentioned among the 2008 Olympic hopefuls in a preview of the 100 backstroke event posted on the Swimming World Magazine website Tuesday.

While world-record holder and defending Olympic champion Aaron Piersol is among the favorites to represent the U.S. in Beijing, along with eight-time Olympic medalist Michael Phelps, author John Lohn mentions Hesen as a "rising star from Indiana University" who could be in the mix.

It will be an uphill battle for Hesen as the U.S. can only have two representatives in the race. Last year five of the top 10 times in the world were produced by Americans.

Hesen and the Hoosiers are back in action this Friday as they travel to SEC power Tennessee for a dual meet beginning at 1 p.m.
