State College, Pa.~ The Indiana Hoosiers (4-1,2-1) lost to Penn State (3-1,2-1) today, in their first defeat of the season. The final score was 150-93 as the Hoosiers won only one swimming event but captured first place in both diving events.
Indiana's win in swimming came in the 1000 Free. Joe Trent(9:26.13) captured first place by more than 10 seconds. Trent went on to place second in the 500 free (4:33.74) with a personal season best time.
Indiana Diving found first and second places in both events. In the one-meter event, Ryan Kosanic placed first (355.80) while Tom Davidson place second (316.80). The pair switched places in the three-meter event as Davidson took first place (357.08) and Kosanic took second place (337.58).
