Piercy Named Big Ten Diver of the Week

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana University senior diver David Piercy was named the Big Ten Diver of the Week, the conference office announced on Tuesday.
Piercy turned in a pair of NCAA qualifying marks as part of two victories in the Hoosiers' dual meet at No. 16 Louisville Friday night. Piercy finished with a score of 321.45 in the 1-meter springboard competition, registering his fourth highest score of the season in the event. The Ft. Wayne, Ind. native completed his sweep for Indiana with a victory on the 3-meter springboard, totaling 332.24 points. This is the first career Big Ten Diver of the Week honor for Piercy and the first award for a Hoosier diver this season.
Indiana closes out its regular season schedule this Saturday as it plays host to No. 18 Purdue at the Counsilman-Billingsley Aquatic Center. The meet gets underway at noon ET, with the Hoosiers' six seniors being honored prior to the start.
