Hoosiers Send 4 More Divers to NCAA Meet

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Amy Cozad, Kate Hillman, Conor Murphy and Danton Rogers all earned spots at the NCAA Championships on the final day of competition at the NCAA Zone C Diving Championships in West Lafayette, Ind.
Murphy dominated the men's platform event, finishing with 921.65 points over two rounds, more than 200 points ahead of second-place finisher Rogers. Rogers tallied 691.90 points, with Casey Johnson third (688.70). George Andrews placed fifth (664.30) and Mick Dell'Orco sixth (663.80).
Murphy placed fifth on the platform at last year's NCAA meet. This will be Rogers' first NCAA meet.
In prelims, Emad Abdelatif, who already earned a spot at the NCAA meet, placed 16th (290.70). Andrew Hull was 21st (233.95), and Darian Schmidt, who already punched his NCAA ticket, was 24th (219.75).
Cozad and Hillman earned their trips to the NCAA Championships with a 1-2 finish in the women's platform diving final. Cozad ran away with the competition with a score of 697.30 in a combined semifinal and final finish. Hillman took the second spot with a score of 609.80, more than 40 points in front of the third-place finisher.
Cassidy Kahn finished 14th in prelims (220.05).
Cozad finished third on the platform at last year's NCAA Championships. This will be Hillman's first trip to the meet.
