    INDIANA SIGNS TWO DIVERS

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- Indiana University Swimming and Diving coach Jeff Huber has announced the signing of two student athletes to national letters of intent to begin diving at Indiana in the fall of 1999.

Adam Hazes, a Bethesda, Md., native, is a senior national qualifier for Winston Churchill High School in Potomic, Md. He has also earned All-American prep honors.

Lori Matthys, from Bluegrass, Iowa, is an Iowa state high school diving champion for West High School in Davenport, Iowa. Matthys' coach, Jeff Warrick, was a diver at Indiana from 1991-94.

"We are very excited about these two divers," Huber said. "We think they are very talented athletes with their best diving ahead of them. They are both potential Big Ten champs."
