    BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana University All-American swimmers Eric Ress and Margaux Farrell were both named to the Capital One Academic All-District second teams, the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) announced.

    Ress was named to the men's at-large second team after an outstanding sophomore season that saw him earn a Big Ten championship in the 100 backstroke and NCAA runner-up finishes in the 100 backstroke and 200 backstroke. This season Ress set school records in the 200 backstroke, 200 individual medley, 200 freestyle and 800 freestyle relay.

    Farrell, who just completed her junior season at IU, earned a spot on the women's at-large second team. She helped lead the Hoosiers to their third-straight Big Ten team title and earned All-America honors in the 400 medley relay, 200 freestyle, 800 freestyle relay and 400 freestyle relay.

    The Capital One Academic All-America programs honors student-athletes with at least a 3.30 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at his/her current institution.
