    OMAHA, Neb. - A pair of Indiana University swimmers recorded top-10 finishes in the 800-meter freestyle on day one of the 2008 Mutual of Omaha Swimvitational in Omaha, Neb. The meet is the last big event prior to the 2008 Olympic Trials which will also take place at the Qwest Center in Omaha, June 29-July 5.

    John Kevin Koehler, who completed his eligibility at Indiana this past spring, finished third in the 800 free with a time of 8:13.31. Titus Knight, who begins his sophomore season at IU this fall, touched the wall in seventh with a time of 8:20.60.

    The meet action continues Friday with men's and women's events in the 100-meter freestyle, 200-meter breaststroke, 400-meter freestyle, 100-meter butterfly, and 400-meter freestyle relay. Prelims begin at 9:30 a.m. CT and finals start at 6 p.m. CT. Finals competition from the Mutual of Omaha Swimvitational will be broadcast LIVE on Swimnetwork.com.

    Other current and former Hoosiers schedule to compete include Ben Hesen, Todd Patrick, Pat Penoyar, Sergiy Fesenko, Amanda Smith and Kate Zubkova.
