    Ress Takes Fifth in 200 Back at World University Games

    BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana University senior Eric Ress finished fifth in the 200-meter backstroke on day six of swimming action at the World University Games in Kazan, Russia.

    Representing France, Ress touched fifth in 1:58.83. He qualified fourth overall for the championship final with a time of 1:58.77 in Sunday's semifinal. Ress went 2:00.49 in prelims to advance.

    Also on Sunday sophomore Brooklynn Snodgrass went 29.66 in prelims of the 50-meter backstroke for her native Canada, and senior Cody Miller posted a time of 28.58 in prelims of the 50-meter breaststroke.
