    Hoosiers Team Up for National Title at USA Diving Championships

    COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Indiana University sophomore Amy Cozad and incoming freshman Laura Ryan teamed up to win a national title in the women's synchronized platform competition on the final day of the 2010 AT&T USA Diving National Championships in College Station, Texas.

    Cozad and Ryan tallied 294 points for the victory, 19.23 points ahead of runners-up Kaylea Arnett and Michelle Cabassol. Sophomore Logan Kline and junior Nicole Brehm finished fifth in the event after posting a score of 244.62.

    In the men's synchronized three-meter final, sophomore Zac Nees and Darian Schmidt finished fourth with a score of 318.42, while IU graduates Jonathan Dohring and Robert Dohring were fifth with 318.42 points.

    Indiana graduate Amy Korthauer was the top Hoosier finisher in the women's platform competition, finishing eighth with 291.35 points. Cozad was right behind her in ninth place with 290.00 points, with Ryan 11th (259.80). Former Hoosier David Piercy rounded out the competition with a 12th-place finish in the men's three-meter springboard competition (347.45).
