    INDIANA DIVING CAPTURES COMBINED TEAM TITLE AT NATIONALS

    The Woodlands, Texas--The Indiana Diving team won the combined team title at the 1999 Summer Nationals held in The Woodlands, Texas this weekend. Both the women's and men's team finished second overall, but combined to take the combined title with 202.5 points.

    All-American Mike Collier qualified for finals on both the one-meter and 10-meter during the five-day competition. He grabbed a his highest finish ever at Nationals with a third place on three-meter, and also took sixth place on one-meter. Collier, along with junior teammate Tom Davidson, received fifth on the syncro ten-meter and sixth on the syncro three-meter.

    Junior All-American Erin Quinn claimed the highest IU finish on the women's team. On the one-meter springboard, she dove to a sixth place finish. Also, she competed with sophomore Sara Reiling on the syncro three-meter. They combined to take fourth place.

    Reiling and newcomer Sunday Lewandowski qualified for the three-meter finals. Lewandowski placed seventh, while Reiling secured eighth place.
