CREAM SQUAD DEFEATS CRIMSON IN INTRASQUAD MEET

The Indiana swimming and diving team opened the season with the annual Cream and Crimson Intrasquad meet. The Cream squad defeated the Crimson team 115-87.

The Cream won the meet by winning all of the relay events to open up a large gap ahead of the Crimson squad.

Senior Tom Wanezek lead the way for the Cream team with a pair of firsts in the 50 and 100 free. He was also a member of the winning 200 and 400 free relays. Jon Carlson, Jason Carlberg, and Ben Hunter also finished first in their events. Carlson won the 200 free, Carlberg the 100 fly, and Hunter placed first in the 500 free.

Winners for the Crimson were Joe Trent, Ryan Tabereaux, and Tom Davis. Trent took first place in the 200 IM, Tabereaux in the 100 back, and Davis in the 100 breast.

Indiana's first dual meet of the season will be at Kentucky on October 31. The coed meet will start at 12 noon.
