    CRIMSON DEFEATS CREAM IN INTRASQUAD MEET

    The Indiana swimming team kicked off their season today with the annual Cream and Crimson Intrasquad meet. The Crimson squad beat the Cream squad with a resulting score of 91-84.

    Each squad won five of the ten events. A first place finish for the Crimson squad was Senior Ben Hunter who blew away the closest competition in the 500 free by almost 6 seconds. The Crimson managed to dominate the freestyle events with Nick Arzner who won the 200 free, Don Gold who won the 50 free and Brian Stryker who won the 100 free.

    Winners for the Cream squad were David Schulze who won the 200 Individual Medley, Jeff Ostermann who won the 200 fly, Heath Montgomery who won the 200 back and Henrik Wahlberg who won the 200 breast.

    Indiana's first dual meet will be in Bloomington on November 6. The Hoosiers will take on the Kentucky Wildcats and the coed meet will start at 1:00 pm.
