    HOOSIERS FALL TO MISSOURI IN FIRST DAY OF ILLINOIS DUAL MEET EXTRAVAGANZA

    Champaign, Ill. - The Indiana swimming and diving team opened the Illlinois Dual Meet Extravaganza with a loss to Missouri, 106-78. The loss puts Indiana at 1-1 on the season.

    Winners for Indiana included Ken Ackermann, Mike Collier, Tom Davis, Heath Montgomery, and Joe Trent. Collier won the three-meter by nearly 50 points with a score of 331.20. So far this season, Collier is three-for-three in all diving events.

    Freshman Heath Montgomery swam 1:44.97 in the 200 free to get first place. Trent, a sophomore, won the 200 IM in 1:54.99. Ackermann and Davis took first place in the 100 back and 100 breast, respectively.

    On Saturday, the Hoosiers will face Drury (Ill.) at 9:30 am and Southern Illinois at 7:30 pm. Indiana will close the Extravaganza on Sunday with a double-dual
    meet against Cincinnati and Iowa.
