    INDIANA FINISHES THE EXTRAVAGANZA WITH TWO WINS

    Champaign, Ill. - After starting the Illinois Dual Meet Extravaganza with two losses the Indiana swimming and diving team bounced back with three straight wins including two this morning. The Hoosiers defeated Iowa and Cincinnati in a double-dual meet. Indiana defeated Iowa 60-53 and Cincinnati 62-51.

    Ken Ackermann, Mike Collier, and Tom Davis continued to lead the Hoosiers. Collier swept the one and three-meter diving competitions and Davis won the 100 and 200 breaststroke events. Ackermann stayed unbeaten this season with a first place in the 100 back.

    The 400 medley relay team of Ackermann, Davis, Jason Carlberg, and Tom Wanezek took first place in the last event to give the Hoosiers two wins in the double-dual meet format. Indiana is now 4-2 on the season. Next up is the Indiana Invitational at the Counsilman and Billingsley Aquatic Center. The meet is scheduled to run Nov. 20-22.
