Milos Popovic is in his first year at Indiana after serving as the Volunteer Assistant Coach for two years at the University of Tennessee. At Tennessee, he helped the Volunteers win both the 2010 SEC regular season title and the 2010 SEC Tournament, as well as reach the finals of the 2010 NCAA Championships. The team went 31-2 during the 2010 season and advanced to the finals of the 2010 ITA Indoor Championships.

Head coach Randy Bloemendaal said Popovic was very hands-on at Tennessee and should step in to make an immediate impact on the Indiana program.

"Milos did an outstanding job for the University of Tennessee the past two seasons and has played a major role in helping the Vols finish runner-up in the NCAA tournament and the ITA indoor while winning the SEC. He was the volunteer assistant but I noticed more than a year ago the outstanding job he was performing during matches and practice play."

Popovic started at Tennessee in the fall of 2008, and he wrapped up his master's degree in Sport Management in December of 2009.

Popovic also had coaching experience on the college level before starting his graduate program at UT.

After his collegiate playing days were finished, he remained at Nevada as the Student Coach. In his one season as the Student Coach, he was involved in on-court coaching, scouting, and mentoring players. He helped guide the Wolf Pack to a third-place finish in the WAC Conference and a berth in the semifinals of the 2007 Conference tournament. It was the best results for the Nevada tennis program since joining the WAC seven seasons earlier.

Popovic was a member of the Nevada tennis team from 2003-06. He left the program in eighth place for career singles victories. He also attained the second spot in Nevada's record book for most doubles victories in a season.

He was a 2005 All-WAC second team doubles selection. Popovic was also a three-time member of the Academic All-WAC. In his junior and senior seasons, he competed at No. 1 in doubles and No. 2 in singles. He was also nominated to the 2005 NCAA Leadership Conference. Popovic graduated from Nevada with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Marketing).

Popovic was born July 6, 1983, in Belgrade, Serbia.
