Hoosiers Matchup with No. 18 Alabama on Day 2 of Invite

LAS VEGAS – Indiana played matches against Alabama on day two of the UNLV Spring Invitational. Sophomores Maxime Armengaud, Stephen Vogl and Will Kendall all won singles matches. Armengaud and Vogl remain unbeaten through two days of action.
The No. 48 Hoosiers faced a stiff test with the Crimson Tide, and the 18th ranked Alabama squad proved tough to take down. The Hoosiers finished the day 3-4 in singles and 0-3 in doubles.
Armengaud won in three sets over Ian Chadwell. After splitting the dropping the second set, Armengaud took control for a 6-1 win in the third. Vogl won a three-setter as well, taking down Trey Walston, and Kendall defeated Michael Davis in straight sets.
Freshman Josh MacTaggart lost a tough battle with Ricky Doverspike. After winning the first set in a tiebreaker, MacTaggart dropped the second. In the third, Doverspike came out on top in yet another tiebreak.
