    Hoosiers Fall 6-1 at Kentucky

    LEXINGTON, Ky. - The No. 56 ranked Indiana men's tennis team started the spring season at Kentucky, but fell 6-1 against the No. 9 Wildcats on Tuesday night.

     

    Sophomores Sam Monette and Daniel Bednarczyk got things off to a good start for the Hoosiers with a 6-0 doubles victory.

     

    The doubles point came down to No. 3 with sophomores Michael Sellitto and Elliott Yee dropping the match on a tiebreak.

     

    The Hoosiers lone victor in singles matches was Bednarczyk, who defeated Jerry Lopez in three sets, 6-5 (6), 3-6, 6-3.

     

    Up next the Hoosiers travel to Charlottesville, Va., for the ITA Kickoff where they will play Samford on Friday Jan. 24 and either Virginia or Elon the following day.
