IU Sweeps Penn State, 7-0

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana men's tennis (13-3, 2-0 Big Ten, No. 21) knocked off Penn State (10-4, 0-2), moving the IU winning streak to seven. IU's 7-0 sweep of the Nittany Lions saw the Hoosiers win all three doubles and all six singles matches.
IU swept doubles action, knocking off the Nittany Lions in three tight matches. Isade Juneau and Jeremy Langer won 8-5 at number one, and Josh MacTaggart and Alastair Barnes won by the same score at number two. At three, Will Kendall and Stephen Vogl went all the way to a tiebreak before pulling off an 8-7 victory.
In singles, IU jumped out early, taking the first set in all six matches without the Nittany Lions winning more than three games in any of the initial sets. The Hoosiers clinched the match with straight-set wins from Kendall at six (6-0, 6-1), Vogl and four (6-3, 6-4), MacTaggart at two (6-2, 7-5) and Dimitrije Tasic at five (6-3, 6-2).
The Nittany Lions made things interesting though as Tomas Hanslik took the second set at number one before falling to Juneau (6-1, 0-6, 6-4). At number three, Langer went the distance as well, defeating Taylor Cohen in three sets, 6-1, 2-6, 7-6 (5).
