    BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Freshman Josh MacTaggart had the best day of his young collegiate career to date on Saturday at the Wilson/ITA Ohio Valley Regional Championship. The freshman won two matches, including a remarkable comeback for his first victory over a nationally-ranked opponent. MacTaggart remains undefeated in his collegiate career. The Hoosiers won four main draw matches on the day, MacTaggart's two singles wins, a singles win by senior Lachlan Ferguson and a doubles win by Ferguson and junior Santiago Gruter.

    MacTaggart won his first match of the day, defeating #63 Bryant Salcedo of Vanderbilt. MacTaggart took the first set convincingly, six games to one. Salcedo fought back to win the second set 2-6. In the third, MacTaggart fell behind 4-1 before winning five-straight games for the win. Next up was Victor Melo of Middle Tennessee State.

    Melo jumped out early, taking the first set 6-3. MacTaggart fought out a 7-5 decision in the second set. With each player taking two games in the third set, Melo was unable to continue due to injury. MacTaggart will play Ryan Lipman of Vanderbilt at noon ET on Sunday.

    Ferguson advanced to the round of 16 with a win over Max Stevens of Tennessee. The Adelaide, Australia native won 6-3, 6-2. In his next match, he fell to Lipman.

    Gruter and Ferguson won their first doubles match of the day decisively, defeating Max Stevens and Edward Jones of Tennessee by an 8-3 tally. Next up was second seed Austen Childs and Simon Childs of Louisville. Childs and Childs proved tough, taking down the Hoosier duo, 8-6.
