    BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Indiana men's tennis team is ranked 62nd in the first Intercollegiate Tennis Association Division I Rankings for the 2005 spring season. Senior Jakub Praibis also rests among the top players in the country according to the first national player rankings released on Thursday morning.

    Praibis is ranked 60th in the country among all Division I players. The Litomerice, Czech Republic, product is no stranger to the rankings as he stands at sixth overall in the Midwest Region.

    Baylor begins the year in the top spot after garnering all 30 first-place votes for a total of 2,394 points. UCLA is second (2,365), followed by Florida (2,282), Georgia (2,274) and Illinois (2,249) to round out the top-five.

    The Hoosiers entered the first poll with 459 points.

    IU will open its spring slate on Saturday, Jan. 22, on the road against Notre Dame at 11 a.m.
